This is one of the rare sentences in the trilogy where i am like “WTF SUZANNE COLLINS?!”
LOL. This is one of those sentances that I don’t remember reading :P
It’s one of those lines that doesn’t jump off the page unless you read it out of context. I re-read the book recently and I remember thinking “….this could be really corny if I didn’t just read the last page and a half”.

This one is the most powerful quote IMO. It shows Peeta as a very strong person that will never let anyone step on their pride and I think it’s a good thing to do. Protecting your pride means protecting yourself and the people around you.
